Art. 43 of our Constitution call our work in the Social Communication sector “a significant field of activity which constitutes one of the apostolic priorities of the Salesian mission”.
Runways 2008, a career guidance package for the Classes X and XII, climaxed with an educational tour to Kaziranga National Park, Guwahati and Shillong on 1 May. The programme was held at Don Bosco Youth Centre, Kohima, from 10 - 23 April, with the theme ``In Search of Excellence`` with thirty seven participants

Dimapur, 08 April 2008: The Month`s Mind of the passing away of Rev. Fr. Peter Bianchi was observed at Punanamei, Mao on April 08. Fr. Nestor Guria, the acting provincial of Dimapur Province officiated at the Holy Eucharist celebrated for the repose of the departed soul. About 15 priests concelebrated the Eucharist. A number of sisters, school children and a large number of faithful gathered to pay homage to the departed soul.

Celebrating Differences is how we have named our Human Rights Education in Schools. The last scholastic year saw around 5529 students of 105 schools spread over 10 districts in Andhra Pradesh Celebrating Differences. Today we had the inauguration of the State Advisory Committee meeting (SAC) of the HRE Programme. And the line up of the SAC is a veritable ``who is who`` in Human Rights Promotion and Protection initiatives in AP. With Mr.K.R.Venugopal IAS (Retd), former Principal Secretary to three Prime Ministers heading the SAC we can reach for the stars!!
Nargis: Prayers for the Dead and Living Victims
ROME, 11 May -- Thirty five Burmese gathered at the Collegio San Pietro, Rome, Sunday 11 May to pray for the for all the souls that have died in the awful catastrophe in Myanmar, for those who remained poor, hungry and destitute due to the cyclone Nargis and, in a special way, they prayed for the change of the hearts of the Burmese Government. Priests from different dioceses, religious congregations as well as sisters and seminarians participated. The salesians from Myanmar province, Fr. Bosco Nyi Nyi, Fr. Lucas Naw, Sr. Rosa Lyne, Sr. Veronica and Sr. Agatha joined the prayer.
